Adios Mexico

Okay so my very last here at the CCM has been pretty good.

Last Pday my district was talking about all the nicknames we've had.  I made the mistake of telling them that dad called me Pudge.  So this last week they've been having fun calling me that haha.

I already said goodbye to some of my district including my companion.  The rest will leave today. I'm the last to leave, but only by a few hours.  I leave at 2 am.  Woot woot.

Wanna hear something kinda funny?  Apparently last Sunday someone cut the fence to the CCM and broke in around Midnight.  They never found him but the cops were called so they probably split haha.  I wish they would've told us sooner.  My spy skills could have been useful.

Last night all the boys gave us all blessings before we leave.  It was nice.  I'm super excited to go to my mission!!

Man I Iove being a missionary.  I already know its going to go by so quickly.  I can't wait to get out and teach real people and serve them! It sounds so exciting even if my Spanish is that of a two year old.  Missions are great!

Anyways, I'm not sure if I'll email you all before next Monday or not. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.  Guess what? I'll be teaching real peopleTOMORROW!!!  EEEK  I can't wait!

I love you guys!  Stay cool!!  And have a great week!

Ultima Semana en el CCM

HEY GUYS!!

Alrighty so here is my week THE LAST WEEK IN THE MTC!

Well nothing extraordinary happened but here is the low down anyways.

So there is one kid in my district, Elder Rawlinson, who is an Indian. I just found out this week. Last one to find out.  I guess I should have known . . . I mean he has black hair and brown eyes and is tan.  I just thought he spent a lot of time in the sun.  Whateva.  But I think that's neat.  When I see him I greet him with ''How'' or ''Wingaupo'' or however they say it in Pocahontas.  Sometimes we even call him Cocoum.  And he got sunburned last week so it was a lot of fun to sing ''What makes the red man red''  and he doesn't even mind if I quote Peter Pan.  And he also inspired me to go to a Powwow when I get home.  Apparently you don't even have to be an Indian.  Bucket List.

So one of my teachers doesn't speak very much English but someone did teach him that White people were called ''Crackas''  He didn't know it was considered offensive.  Haha it was soooo funny.

So it only took me 5 weeks to find them, but I finally did!!  I found two Elders going to Anaheim with me!!! Yay!  Can't remember their names but I'm sure I'll have it down by the time I get to Cali.

So one night this week me and my companion bought cookies at the Tienda. Then we set an alarm for 12:26 am and we woke up and we ate the cookies.  We are so cool.  Worth it.  Get on our level.

Speaking of my companion, I think she sometimes looks like Jennifer Anniston and sometimes like Jennifer Lawrence.  She should probably change her name to Jennifer when she comes back home.  Just saying.

Guess who I ran into this week!!  Yeep!  That's right!  Hermana Hopkins!!  Yay.  It was strange to have someone call me Jackie instead of May haha.  I was pretty happy to see her.  I tried to stalk her on her first day but whenever I went to places where people said she was, she was gone.  I felt bamboozeled.

Hey there's parrots here.  They are green and blue.  I think I like them.  Except when they poop on you.  But I'm not so sure I can solely blame that on the parrots.

So on Saturday night the Comedor (lunchroom place)  kindly tried to translate what we were eating in English for us and this is what the board said ''Dinner:  Meats cold wire & pastes.''  Just to be safe I stuck with a self made sandwich.

So guess who had to give a talk in Spanish about the Restoration in Sacrament meeting this week?  Me! And guess who had the nerve to show up?  President Pratt and his wife.  Yeep the MTC President.  They're kinda scary.  Luckily they didn't correct me on my talk.  Seriously.  What are the odds?

I know I'm in trouble when I get back to Utah because it was 63 degrees here the other night and I got so cold I had to run home and get a jacket to put over my long sleeved shirts.  Mexico Problems.

It's a good thing I brought scissors with me to the CCM because tons of people keep asking for me to cut their hair.  Luckily I haven't screwed up yet.  Knock on wood.

Well it's crazy that it's my last week at the CCM.  I swear I just got here!  It's already going by so quickly.  The CCM is great though and I'm going to miss it a ton but I'm super excited to actually be doing missionary stuff!

Well I miss you guys!  The church is true!  I'll write on Monday!!

PS:  Birthday shout out to TYLER.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  LOVE YOU!

Missions are Amazing

Okay so my week has been pretty much the same so sorry if this email isn't as long.

It rained one day here super duper hard so that was sweet.  I liked it a lot.  Oh and then after it rained there was the most PERFECT rainbow EVER!  It was definitely Care Bear worthy.  So that was neat.

Um . . . oh.  So how do you get Nutella stains out of white shirts?  That would be very helpful.  Oh and I had the yummiest Popsicle there ever has been or ever will be this week.  Brand: Santa Clara, Flavor:  Cajeta.  I'm willing to bet its what the angels in heaven snack on when they it gets a little warm in heaven.

Other than that nothing really happened this week.  I'm loving it here! This past week has gone by soooo quick it was unreal.  Only 2 weeks left here the CCM . . . actually in 2 weeks from today I'll be in Anaheim.  I'm going to miss my district a lot.  They're all super cool.  You get pretty close to people when you spend 16 hours a day everyday with them.

I feel like I've grown a lot.  It's definitely super hard to be here but it's also very worth it.  I feel like I've grown a lot closer to my Savior and I've learned a ton.  I'm so happy I'm a missionary and I feel so, so lucky to serve God.  Missions are amazing!

I love you so much!!  Have a good week!

Week 3 in the CCM

(if you haven't figured it out by now, CCM is basically Spanish for MTC)

Okay so here is my week

Hold onto your seats. I wake up, and I study, I eat breakfast, I workout, I study, I eat lunch, I study, I eat dinner, I study, I got to bed.  Every. Day.  Except Sunday.  Then we just throw meetings in there.  Yeep.  It's pretty riveting.

Lot's of people here are getting sick.  A girl in my room got sick this week and like three others in my casa.  Whatever.  I'm healthy as a healthy horse.  Don't freak out.

Highlights of my week:  One day during study time I stared out the window just in time to see a bird plummet from the top of the Monson building, in an attempted suicide.  I don't know if he was successful.

I totally found the ten commandments. Story time:  So my companion and I prayed in a grove of trees (for real) and then we went for a stroll and found the 10 commandments.  Real Stone.  Really carved in.  Maybe it's in Hebrew.  Couldn't tell.  Totally didn't die when I touched them so that's a bonus.

How's my Spanish you wonder?  My it's still pretty pathetic, but my Mexican accent would rock your socks off.  Yeah, it's coming along.  Pretty good I'd guess for the amount of time I've been here.

So our Sacrament room is right next to the wall to the outside world and the outside world just loves to have raves and blast their music 24-7 so we had some Sandstorm playing in the background to the sacrament prayer this week.  And some other techno music throughout the whole meeting.

Guess what we did today?!? We went to the TEMPLE!!  Well, not inside since it's closed until I get home from my mission . . . but the visitors center was pretty sick.  In a good way.  Yeah.  I enjoyed that.  The temple here is HUGE-O  Geez Louise.  And it was fun to look at Mexico City on the way there and back.  I took lots of pictures from the window seat.   I might send you some.  Maybe.

Yeah.  So that was my week.  Sorry it was a little lacking.  Just pretend something exciting happened.

Well I love you all!!! You're the best!!  Have a really good week!  That would be great :)  Okay, love you!
